Audible Pedestrian Signals. The city of San Francisco will soon be installing audible pedestrian signals at 80 intersections around the city. The signal will sound when the"³walk" signal flashes. There will be vibrating push buttons & locator tones, and audible street names. San Francisco is the first city in the nation to reach such an agreement which will improve the safety of visually impaired people.
