Mill Valley Support Group Update: Planning Meeting

On Wednesday, February 23rd we invited our southern Marin members to an information gathering meeting at the Redwoods, in Mill Valley. We are asking the groups help in designing a new Redwoods support group that will meet the needs of the attendees. 15 low-vision individuals attended (along with Suzan from BVIM, Jeff Carlson, Social Worker from the Lighthouse and Karen Nunn, Social Worker from the Redwoods).

The following issues were decided at the meeting:

  • The group will meet once a month on the 4th Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm in lounge #1315 at the Redwoods.
  • The group prefers occasional speakers.

We hope to begin the new Mill Valley, Redwoods group, on the 4th Wednesday of March or April, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. We will announce the exact date the group will begin to the meeting attendees by phone and to all other members at next luncheon.

HAPPY MARCH BIRTHDAYS!
Alda Alexa, Anabella Denisoff, Vera Gaudiani, Lois Goodall, Orville Gotcher, Victor Hugo, Marcy Pattinson.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HAPPY APRIL BIRTHDAYS!
Billi Forbes, Eleanor Hansell, Pam Oncina, Bob Weiss.
IN MEMORIAM
Our beloved John Madison passed away on Tuesday, February 22. He was 91. As a long-time BVIM member, John served on the Board of Directors, as well as on numerous committees. We will miss his cheerful presence and positive outlook. The staff and Board of BVIM extend our sincerest sympathy to John's family and many friends.
Our condolences to the family and friends of Ray Rickman who passed away in January.
