MEMBER NEWS

We've moved!

BVIM (and the Lighthouse of Marin) have moved to our new offices at 930 Tamalpais Avenue, San Rafael - in the Whistlestop Wheels Building. Our office is on the 2nd floor, next door to the Lighthouse. Please stop by!

Because of limited meeting room availability at Whistlestop, we have rescheduled the monthly San Rafael supports groups and the monthly BVIM Board meeting as follows:
Anabella's Support Group will meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 1 - 3pm in the Caboose Room (next meeting is May 26th)

Virginia's Support Group will meet on the 4th Friday of each month from 11am - 1pm in the Caboose Room (next meeting is May 22)

BVIM Board of Directors will meet on the 3rd Friday of each month from 11am - 1pm in the 2nd floor conference room (next meeting is June 19)

The May 4th Legion of Honor Access Day trip to the Tiffany, Lalique and Faberge Exhibit was enjoyed by all who participated: John Madison, Joan Yates, Vilma Holmes, Christy Graham, Rose Taylor, Barbara Keck, Diane Luboff, Suzan Singleton, and volunteers: Gerry Bourguignon, Ruth Drummond and Felicia Kramarz without whom this trip would not have been possible! (The next access day is 12/21: the much anticipated KING TUT exhibit! More on that later.)

On May 9th Rich Oettel, Anabella Denisoff & Brian Wilson staffed the BVIM booth at the Marin Human Race to help get the word out about BVIM. It looks like they have sparked some interest in BVIM & may have even recruited some new volunteers! Thanks Rich, Anabella and Brian!

In Memorium

The staff and Board of BVIM extend our sincerest sympathy to family and friends of long-time BVIM members, Ida Berkowitz and Barbara Nolan, who passed away in April.

Volunteer Profile

Ruth Drummond, one of our newest volunteers, is a long time resident of Marin who raised her 3 children here. She has 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren but still manages to make time for driving BVIM members to luncheons (where she also helps in the kitchen) and other activities. We love her sunny disposition and can-do attitude. Thanks Ruth!
